I may be looking for a new team to race for. As it looks right now, my club may not want to play race games next year.
So, what I need from all of you is suggestions. Do you love your club? If so, why? I want to hear it all -- the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Keep in mind that there is that new UCA bylaw in 2008 about team points leader championship. I promise to bring the team some points (maybe not a lot, but some).
So if you think your team could use a Cat 4 woman, give me a holler. If you're not comfortable giving me this information publicly, send me an email at riosrider at gmail dot com.

The Porc need a few women. Plus we offer free food at the Grille when you buy your kit.

Aside from the free food, and the fact they need women, why would you suggest the Porcs? Is it a fabulous team to ride for?

well, I can't promise you wins or podium finishes. Heck, that's an unrealistic goal for me at this stage of the bike game, but I can tell you we have twice weekly group rides during the season and are meeting Saturday's during the winter.
We have two of the coolest races in the state (Porc Hill Climb and Chalk Creek) and we'll get you out of Utah Valley more often for the rides and/or races.
I'm sure there are lots of good clubs, but only the Porcs have me! (oops, that's not a selling point)
Visit the site and see if we're for you. If not, I imagine Utah County has a couple of clubs you can hook up with.

The VMGers (now Ski Utah) would LOVE to have you ride for us! I've seen you in action and you rock. Plus, you're nice and funny, blah blah blah...is that enough butter for your bread? ;)
I joined Vanguard because there are about 7 Cat 4 women (we also have a bunch of Cat3 and L. Howat a Cat 1 and former Pro). In every race I always have teammates to learn from, play off of etc. Not that I'm in the main pack long enough to benefit! :)
Joking aside, we always have organized group rides, usually the boy getting us out in PC or on long jaunts around SLC. The guys are good about keeping you with them on the climbs, and they encourage you to go harder to keep up. You'll definitely get stronger with us. You've read my blog, you know how much they kick butt! This team is also very supportive and we genuinely like one another.
Anywho...pick Vanguard! Our 1st team uniform order closes tomorrow at midnight, but we have another coming up soonfor a late Feb. 2008 arrival.
Join us this weekend for a group ride and check us out...

Tomorrow the VMG guys are gonna ride from Canyon Bicycles on Wasatch at 1pm. The time may change, I can let you know. I may or may not be there depending on what Gardie says tomorrow AM.
